Sonia Whitehouse, Attorney

Hello, I am Sonia Whitehouse, one of the personal injury attorneys here at Slater & Zurz, LLP. With over 12 years of experience in civil litigation in Ohio and New York, my practice is focused primarily on auto and trucking accidents, dog bites, premises liability, construction accidents, claims against insurance companies, wage and hour disputes, and appellate law. I approach every case with diligence and compassion to ensure the best possible resolutions for my clients.

In my career, I have successfully argued appeals in New York and have tried cases for juries throughout Ohio, resulting in excellent verdicts for my clients. I have also litigated individual and collective action wage and hour cases in federal courts in the Northern and Southern District of Ohio. 

I completed my Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University in 2004 and my Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2010. I have a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Kent State University and a certificate in Global Arbitration and Practice from Queen Mary, University of London. Before law school, I worked as an English teacher and in the service industry. Raised in Akron and now residing in Cleveland, I enjoy exploring new places and have lived in New York, Istanbul, London, and Berlin.
