Robert P. Horton

Partner

For over 17 years, Robert P. Horton has dedicated his legal career to advocating for individuals injured due to negligence. As a partner at Slater & Zurz, he focuses on personal injury cases, including truck and semi accidents, motor vehicle and motorcycle crashes, and dog attacks.

To Rob, personal injury law isn’t just about legal strategy. His philosophy is simple: securing maximum compensation is only one part of the job; helping people regain control after a life-altering event is just as important.

While he has won substantial settlements for his clients, what he values most are the relationships built along the way. The trust they place in him, the guidance he provides, and the long-term connections that last well beyond the case are what drives him.

Experience

Rob’s path to becoming a leading personal injury attorney began as a solo practitioner, handling criminal, domestic relations, and personal injury cases. He then joined Perantinides & Nolan, where he developed his practice in medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, and general personal injury claims.

In 2012, Rob joined Kisling, Nestico & Redick, expanding his expertise in complex personal injury litigation and building a reputation as a dedicated advocate for injury victims.

He then spent time inside the insurance world at National Interstate Insurance Company, where he handled claims for trucking and fleet vehicle companies. This unique experience gives him an edge in negotiating against insurers who often try to minimize payouts.

Outside the Office

Rob is just as passionate about his community as he is about his clients. He’s involved in Project Outrun, a nonprofit that empowers kids battling cancer, helping them design custom running shoes as a symbol of strength and perseverance.

Rob also enjoys spending time with his family, watching his children compete in sports, and staying active himself, whether it’s playing soccer, snowboarding, or testing his patience and precision in ELR (Extreme Long-Range) shooting.
