I was born in Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating in 1984. I went on to law school at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and received my law degree in 1987.
The early part of my legal career was spent representing insurance carriers. After 13 years, I wanted to use my knowledge and experience to represent people who have been injured and families who have needlessly lost a loved one.
I have been lead trial counsel in over 3,000 cases and had over 200 of these cases taken to a verdict. I have litigated cases involving civil rights, class action torts, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence and abuse cases. I have prepared in-depth analysis of amendments to statutes and regulations and projected their impact on legal strategies.
I have created, trained and led successful litigation teams responsible for extremely complicated legal issues. I have also routinely developed and implemented proactive case strategies to prevail in highly challenging and contested legal battles.
I am a certified mediator in the State of Ohio.
